The Menu

Some events at the centre have a more explicit or stronger Dharma (Buddhist) content than others. This menu is intended as a guide to the ‘strength’ of what you will encounter at our various events.

One Vajra = Open To All. No requirement or interest in Buddhism required.

Two Vajras = Some Buddhist Content. For those open to further enquiry.

Three Vajras = Explicitly Buddhist Events. For those with a definite to practice the Buddha’s Teaching

Four Vajras = For members of and those pursuing ordination into the Triratna Buddhist Order.

The Architecture of Involvement

This pyramid describes successive levels of involvement with the Triratna Buddhist Community via the Croydon Buddhist Centre, along with key activities that typify each level of involvement.

Since however, the Buddhist Path is organic, no diagram can do justice to the living encounter with the Dharma undergone by each individual who makes contact with the centre. Nonetheless, the diagram serves to provide a broad orientation and sense of direction for those interested in how to take their involvement further.
