Dharma Day Festival:  Opening the Dharma Eye

Saturday 15th July, 10:30am - 4pm

With Mokshadarshini, Virydeva and team

At Aryatara Community

Suggested donation: £10 / £8 (Conc) All welcome

Seated under the Bodhi Tree, 2500 years ago, the Buddha woke up to way things really are. He then spent his life teaching this truth, this Dharma, for the benefit of all living beings.

The Buddha’s awakening came sometimes to be known as the opening of the Dharma eye. It’s as if, buried deep within us, a third eye - the eye of spiritual vision - waits silently for its moment to come.

Join us for this very special festival in which we’ll celebrate day the Buddha began to teach the Dharma. Through ritual, meditation and personal stories, we’ll begin - perhaps - to open the Dharma eye within us. The day will be held at the Aryatara community, 3 Plough Lane, Purley, CR8 3QB

There will be the opportunity for a shared lunch - bring vegan food to share!

Timings

Morning session - 10:30am to 12:45pm

Shared lunch - 1pm to 2pm

Afternoon session - 2pm to 4pm

(Come along for some or all of the day.)
