All welcome.
Join us for four days of intensive meditation, reflection, poetry, and ritual, all on the theme of impermanence and change.
The Buddhist tradition often exhorts us to remember the fleetingness of all things, so as not to waste the precious opportunity of our life. If we are not careful, the mundane details of our life can eat us up. As one year fades, and a new year is born, this is a natural time to turn inwards, and to have time to reflect on what really matters. Where is the real beauty, joy, and meaning in our life? And how can we stay in touch with that day to day?
The retreat will involve a training in three ways of reflecting on impermanence, and coming to a different relationship with change and transitoriness. We'll be practising on the cushion for several hours per day, so this is a retreat for those with previous experience of meditation.
Meals will be provided through the day - good, tasty vegan food. Each day will comprise:
- an optional morning double meditation from 7.30am to 9am. - a day of practice from 10.30am to 4.30pm that we ask everyone to attend. - an evening of practice from 6pm to 9.30pm, which we'd recommend you attend if you possibly can. We'll have a special ritual on New Years Eve, welcoming in 2024 in the best way possible! We'll finish on 1st Jan 2024 at 12:45pm
After a year of activity, we need time to re-group, turn inwards, and find our centre. Join us for five days of contemplation and meditation on the silent heart of reality.
Suitable those who have already learned meditation with us. Â Vegan lunch and dinner provided.
