Volunteer with us
Help the Croydon Buddhist Centre to flourish
Our Centre relies on volunteers to keep it thriving. We need help cleaning, staffing the reception desk, and maintaining the building.
We also have a Buddhist business, Hidden Gems, a charity shop next to the Buddhist Centre run largely by volunteers.
If you'd like to explore volunteering with us, don't hesitate to get in touch with our Volunteers Co-Ordinator, Matt.

Join a Dharma study group
Explore the Buddha's teachings in depth
Study groups meet weekly to discuss the range of the Buddhist tradition's teaching about our human potential.
If you are interested in joining a study group, get in touch with one of our Mitra ("friend") Convenors:

Deepening your commitment
Make a deeper commitment to Buddhism by joining our community as a "Mitra"
If you want to continue to deepen your practice at the Croydon Buddhist Centre, we’ll help you to keep on taking the next step. That could be anything from going on retreat to training to join the Triratna Buddhist Order.
A significant step might be to ask to become a Mitra (meaning ‘friend’) in a simple ceremony to mark that you consider yourself a Buddhist and want to practise in the context of Triratna, the Buddhist Tradition that the Croydon Buddhist Centre is part of. If you’re interested, or simply want to discuss taking your involvement further, do get in touch - the Mitra convenors would be happy to talk to you.
