ABOUT THE CROYDON BUDDHIST CENTRE
Founded in 1973, the Croydon Buddhist Centre is a place for connection, growth and Buddhist practice for all levels of experience and commitment.
We are part of the Triratna Buddhist Community, a tradition that aims to offer the Buddha’s ancient wisdom to the modern world.
We seek to offer the Buddha's teachings in a way that's accessible to everyone, whatever their background. We run weekly meditation and Buddhism drop-ins, courses for newcomers and regulars, as well as other events. We have a yoga studio for yoga and qi gong sessions. We also host open level and intensive retreats at our retreat centre, Rivendell in East Sussex.
As well as the Buddhist Centre, we have a charity shop called Hidden Gems, next door. The shop is run by Buddhist women and is always looking for new volunteers. Do stop by next time you visit!
