Meditation can make you calmer, happier and more productive. However, there is an even better reason people have been practising it for millenia. The harsh reality is, you can build a seemingly perfect life and still be unhappy. At some point we all have to realise that we will need to change ourselves to see the beauty and joy that life inherently is.

Following ancient teachings, you can transform your mind and your whole being into something vast and resilient. With consistent practice, you will see your life with more clarity and develop confidence within the chaos of modern life.

What you will learn

These classes are designed to give you practical tools to start out or go deeper with Buddhist meditation. Experienced Buddhism and meditation teachers will guide you towards a fruitful and consistent meditation practice, answering any questions that may arise.

By consciously turning towards the mind, you may realise that you’ve been stuck in the same old patterns and routines. True transformation comes from leaving these behind and opening up to new ways of experiencing ourselves and the world.

As well as periods of guided meditation, the classes will give ample opportunity to share your meditation experiences and potential doubts with like-minded peers.

Who the classes are for

Suitable for all levels of experience and all backgrounds. It’s a great introduction to Buddhist meditation, or an excellent opportunity to deepen your existing practice.  If you’re unsure whether these classes are for you, do feel free to email us at info@buddhistcentrecroydon.org. Our expert team will be happy to guide you!

Class details

These classes will be taught by Mokshadarshini and Punyamati, two much respected meditation and Buddhism teachers at our Centre.

The classes will run 1pm - 2pm and will be followed by an optional session 2pm - 2:30pm with tea and discussion related to the course session.

Fees

All our classes offering Buddhist teaching are by donation, because we believe that the Buddha's teachings should be freely given. We recommend a donation of £12 / £8 (concession rate) per class, but we welcome you however much you can afford to give.
