Buddha Day Festival: Craving to Contentment
Saturday 13th May, 10:30am until 4pm
Led by Mokshadarshini and Viryadeva
Suggested donation: £10 / £8 All welcome.
The Buddha’s awakening 2500 years ago, stands right at the centre of what we do at the Croydon Buddhist Centre. The Buddha represents the deepest potential for human life: a life of boundless love, energy and wisdom.
Join us for a day celebrating the life of the Buddha, and exploring what it means for the way we live our own lives. Through story, ritual and communal practice, we will relive the moment when the Buddha woke up to the real significance of human life - and perhaps realise something of that significance for ourselves.
You’re really welcome to join us for a shared lunch - please bring vegetarian food to share!
Timings
Morning session - 10:30am to 12:45pm
Shared lunch - 1pm to 2pm
Afternoon session - 2pm to 4pm
(Come along for some or all of the day.) Dana Economy. All our classes offering Buddhist teaching are by donation, because we believe that the Buddha's teachings should be freely given. We recommend a donation of £10 / £8, but we welcome you however much you can afford to give.
