From the time of the Buddha up to the present day, people have decided to try to orient their lives - inner and outer - in the direction of Awakening. To practice the Buddhist path is to live a life of ever-deepening commitment to this ideal, placing it more and more at the centre of our lives. In our Sangha (community), we support this is by offering the opportunity for those that wish to make a ritual commitment to following the Buddha’s teachings. By becoming a Mitra (a Sanskrit word meaning “Friend”), members of the Sangha publicly declare themselves to live as Buddhists, to practising the five ethical precepts, and to doing so within the context of our Sangha. Join us to support and celebrate some of our community (Seb, Eszti and Adrian) as they take this important step in their spiritual journey. And stay afterward for a delicious vegan lunch!
