Drop-in Classes

All our meditation and Buddhism classes are suitable for new-comers and run on a drop-in basis so there is no need to book, just come along.

Lunch-time Meditation Classes

Tuesday 1.05pm to 1.55pm

Thursday 1.05pm to 1.55pm

These meditation classes are timed to be convenient for working people to attend in their lunch hour, although there is an opportunity for a cup of tea afterwards for those who do not have to rush off.

There is no charge for these classes, though donations are welcome.

Evening Meditation Classes

Wednesday 7.30pm - 9.30pm £7.00 / £4.00

This class is divided into two groups, one for those who are new to meditation and the other for those familiar with our two basic practices, the mindfulness of breathing and the metta bhavana. Different teachers ensure a variety of approaches.

Meditation and Buddhism classes

Saturday 10.30am to 1.00pm £7.50 / £4.00

These classes are led by different teachers each week. This means that over a number of weeks people coming to the class are able to build up a range of different perspectives on the meditation practices we teach as well as Buddhist thought and practice.

Usually the class will begin with an introduction to meditation, followed by a talk, discussion or workshop on Buddhism with a tea break between the two - although sometimes this may vary.

We try to keep our class charges as low as possible. If you would like to attend a class but can't afford it, please speak to one of the Centre team about concessions.
