This week's theme
This week we will be looking at Buddhist ethics and how we can implement them to live a more fulfilled life. We will be especially interested in the precept which considers generostiy and 'not taking the not given.'
In Buddhism, generosity is not just a nice thing to do, it is a spiritual practice that aligns us with reality. Being generous can bring us closer to others, and ultimately help us realise we are interconnected with our environment. If we take practicing generosity seriously, we can experience our sense of separateness loosening and recognise what we do matters.
Who is this session for?
Whether you are new to Buddhism and meditation, or a regular at the Centre, you are welcome to join us for meditation, discussion about Buddhist teachings, and the chance to connect with like-minded people.
How much does it cost?
All our classes offering Buddhist teaching are by donation, because we believe that the Buddha's teachings should be freely given. We recommend a donation of £10 / £8 (concession rate) for this series, but we welcome you however much you can afford to give.
