To close the summer season in suitable fashion, we will come together to create a world more connected and beautiful in the heart of Croydon. We will work together, meditate, and transform the Buddhist Centre into an even more inspiring space for communities of present and future to enjoy. Past years' working retreats have been great opportunities for building friendship and gaining inspiration, a real highlight of our calendar. 

Come for as much or as little as you can, any help you can give will be much appreciated. Delicious vegan lunch and dinner will be provided evey day, and we will close each day off with talks or ritual.

Timings

From Monday to Friday we will be working, meditating and eating together 10am -9pm. Lunch will last 1.00pm-2.00pm and we'll be having dinner 6.00pm-7.00pm.

On Saturday we will tidy the Centre together and ritualistically close the retreat. We will end with lunch that will finish at 2.00pm. 

Celebrating Bhante Sangharakshita's Birthday on 26th August

The first day of the Working Retreat will also mark the special occassion of Bhante Sangharakshita's 99th birthday. Join us for an evening ritual to celebrate the founder of our tradition, 7.30pm-9.00pm.
