A Taste of Freedom - A Day for People of Colour

Sunday 17th March 11am-4pm

Open to all people of colour

Suggested donation £25 / £20 conc (including a simple lunch)

The Buddha said that just as in the great ocean there is but one taste — the taste of salt — so in his teaching there is but one taste — the taste of freedom.  On this day - through meditation, discussion, chanting and ritual - we'll taste how the Buddha’s teaching can lead to freedom. We'll explore our personal beliefs on freedom. Where do we find real freedom, and what things in life hold us back? Does freedom have a particular resonance for each of us as a person of colour?

This is a day run by and for people of colour, open to people of all experience of Buddhism and meditation, whether it’s your first visit to the Buddhist Centre, or you regularly attend.  A delicious hot vegan lunch will also be provided. If you wish, you are welcome to bring vegetarian/ vegan food to share or for yourself.  Suggested donation of £25 or £20 for the day, but please feel free to give more or less, depending on your circumstances.

Please book via our website so we know how much lunch to cook!
