We're all familiar with Buddhahood in male form. But the Buddhist tradition is rich with Enlightenment taking female form - sometimes serene, sometimes dynamic, beautiful and even shocking forms. Most famous is Tara, Goddess of Compassion, and Prajnaparamita, the wisdom goddess also known as the “Mother of all the Buddhas." Or you might have seen the Dakinis, the powerful and ferocious skydancers. And there are many others, and getting to know them can bring more energy and wisdom to our practice.
