Meditation is more than just a way to manage stress. Throughout its 2500 year history, the Buddhist tradition has taught practitioners to use meditation in order to access a strange, magical territory: the realm of vision.
The Buddhist tradition is thick with images of mystical beings and spirits. The supernatural is commonplace, as meditators encounter the strange and wonderful worlds that open up as consciousness begins to expand.
On this course, you’ll learn how to elevate and enrich your natural human capacity for imagination. Step by step, you’ll learn to use meditation to ascend to a visionary plane of meaning, significance and depth.
This course is especially suitable for people who think they don’t have any imagination!
Level 1. Suitable for newcomers or as a refresher. Learn how to begin to work deliberately with imagination in meditation. Discover how to develop your innate imaginative capacity, and begin to develop it through meditation and dream-reflection. Note: By signing up to Level 1, you’re committing to meditating for at least 40 minutes each day during the course.
Level 2. Suitable for those who have been practising with us for at least 6 months. Learn how to transform currents of desire and subtle energy in meditation to take you deep into the realm of vision. Explore the implications of imaginal practice for understanding the nature of reality. Note: By signing up to Level 2, you’re committing to meditating for at least 1 hour each day during the course.
