Join us for a mindful qigong workshop with experienced qigong teacher, Andrew.
This session will continue the Five Animals Qigong form (but 's not necessary to have done any Five Animals Qigong before).
The Five Animals Qigong (Wu Qin Xi, or Five Animal Frolics) is one of the oldest forms of medical Qigong. It was developed nearly 2,000 years ago by the legendary physician, Hua Tuo. The movements are designed to mimic the qualities and spirit of each animal, cultivating specific benefits:
Tiger: Strength, power, and courage. Strengthens the liver and gall bladder.
Deer: Grace, relaxation, and serenity. Strengthens the kidneys and bladder.
Bear: Stability, groundedness, and rootedness. Strengthens the spleen and stomach.
