All welcome!
Since the 1990s, we’ve celebrated the birthday of Sangharakshita, founder of the Triratna Buddhist Community, each August. Without him, the Dharma would not have reached the hundreds — now thousands — who practise Buddhism within this community today. This annual ritual is part of a 108-year cycle of rejoicing, an auspicious number in Buddhism. This year’s celebration is especially significant, marking the 100th anniversary of his birth.
We will take this opportunity to look back at what we have been given and look forward to what we can give. Join us for an evening of stories, poetry, ritual and reflection.
