Each year we hold a special puja around the birth date of Sangharakshita - the founder of Triratna Buddhist Community, of which Croydon Buddhist Centre is a part. This year marks the 99th anniversary of his birthday, and we invite you to join us for this ritual celebration of his life.
Of course, many of us have never met Sangharakshita. So what was he like? Why is he important to so many of us? For those who don't know him, this is a chance to to find out a little about his life and influence, and learn about him from people who've met him. It is also an opportunity to express gratitude for everything we've received from him.
Whether you feel you have a connection to Sangharakshita or not, you are very welcome at this event.
