Mind or Matter?
Saturday 16th April, 10.30am to 12.45pm
Led by Viryadeva, open to all.
‘We live under the illusion that we all share the exact same world because our language has evolved to pick out precisely the few aspects of our experiences that are common and shared, while ignoring those that are completely personal and idiosyncratic.’
Bernardo Kastrup’s work has been leading the modern renaissance of metaphysical idealism, the notion that reality is essentially mental. As a scientist, Bernardo has worked for the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) and the Philips Research Laboratories. His books include Dreamed up Reality and Why Materialism is Baloney.
In this series of three workshops, Viraydeva will explore the ideas of Bernardo Kastrup and compare them with the Buddhist view of things... also asking what difference this makes to how we live our lives. Though each session will stand alone, we recommend you come to all three sessions to get the most out of the series.
Just turn up in-person, or use the Zoom link below.
