The Communal Buddhist life: Aryatara community on living together as Buddhists

Monday, 11th August, 7:30pm - 9:00pm

Led by Viryadeva and members of the Aryatara men's community

This event is part of our Work Retreat 2025: Building Sangha and Sacred Space - a week of shared practice, creativity, and community. Each evening, we gather for a special event open to all, whether or not you’ve joined the day’s activities.

Tonight, we'll learn what it's really like living in a residential Buddhist community. Aryatara, in Purley, is home to ten men from the Croydon Sangha, who live together intentionally as a spiritual practice. You'll hear about the joys and the difficulties... and maybe get a sense of whether communal living is something for you too!
