What Happens When We Die?

Saturday 4th June to Saturday 9th July, 9.30am to 12.45pm

In-person and online via Zoom Led by Vaddhaka, open to all.

What happens when we die? Does the death of the physical body mean the death of consciousness or of the mind?

In this six week series Vaddhaka will start by examining the Buddha’s teachings on who lives, who dies, and who is reborn. Then he will explore the origins of the notion of rebirth, and arguments for its truth or otherwise. Finally he will review speculative possibilities of what comes after death, from fiction writers and from philosophers and scientists.

Vaddhaka has been based in Estonia for the last seventeen years, teaching and helping to run the Triratna Buddhist Centre in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. He is an experienced meditation teacher and speaker, having given many talks on different aspects of Buddhism, not just in Estonia, but also in Germany, Sweden, the UK, Brazil, and Australia and New Zealand. He is also the author of “The Buddha on Wall Street”.

Just turn up in-person, or use the Zoom link below.

We're priceless! All our classes offering Buddhist teaching are by donation, because we believe that the Buddha's teachings should be freely given. We recommend a donation of £10 per week, but we welcome you however much you can afford to give.
